More than a decade of container and logistics experience

Who we are, what we supply and how we work, from the Port Macquarie to sites across Australia and the wider Oceania region.

Container supply and logistics from the Port Macquarie

AAD Logistics PTY supplies new and used shipping containers, storage containers, container garages, portable offices, portable cabins, ablution blocks and crib rooms to customers across Australia. Our depot sits at 4 Milton Cct, Port Macquarie NSW 2444, on the New South Wales mid-north coast, midway between Sydney and Brisbane.

We work with tradespeople, farmers, builders, mining and civil contractors, event organisers, schools, councils and households. Some customers need a single storage container placed on a driveway. Others need a set of site buildings coordinated across several states. We handle both with the same process and the same attention to detail.

Every price we publish is in Australian dollars and includes 10% GST. Every used container is sold with its condition grade stated clearly. Every order comes with a written warranty. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every unit we sell.

More than a decade of container and logistics experience

AAD Logistics PTY has been working with shipping containers and the transport that moves them for more than a decade. That time has been spent buying, inspecting, modifying and delivering containers, and learning the practical details that decide whether a delivery goes smoothly: which truck suits which site, how much room a tilt tray really needs, where a container should sit so the doors open the way the customer wants.

Experience of that kind does not come from a catalogue. It comes from repeat customers, difficult sites and a long list of deliveries that taught us something. We put what we have learned into the guidance on this website and into every conversation with a customer.

How AAD Logistics has developed

Our business has grown in stages, each one driven by what customers asked for next.

  1. Early container supply. The business began by supplying standard new and used shipping containers to customers in Queensland, with a focus on honest condition grading and dependable delivery.
  2. Expansion into portable buildings. Customers who bought containers for storage soon asked for buildings they could work in. We added container garages, portable offices, portable cabins, ablution blocks and crib rooms to the range.
  3. Custom and modified units. Standard products do not fit every site. We developed the capability to fit personnel doors, windows, electrical, insulation, lining, plumbing and other modifications to a customer’s specification.
  4. Nationwide delivery coordination. As orders arrived from further afield, we built the transport relationships and the processes needed to deliver anywhere in Australia, from metropolitan sites to regional and remote locations.
  5. Reach into Oceania. The same coordination now extends into the wider Oceania region for customers who need container solutions beyond the Australian mainland.
  6. Continued investment in customer experience. Online purchasing, a structured quotation path, clear delivery guidance and written warranty terms all came from listening to what customers found confusing elsewhere.

Shipping container expertise

A shipping container looks simple, but the differences between units matter. A 20ft standard container measures approximately 6.06 by 2.44 by 2.59 m externally, while a high cube of the same length stands roughly 2.90 m tall. That extra height changes what fits inside and what clearance the delivery truck needs. Double door units open at both ends. Open side units give full-width access along one wall, which suits workshops and retail fit-outs.

We help customers choose between these options based on what they intend to store or build, where the container will sit and how it will be delivered. When a used container is the right choice, we explain what Wind and Watertight means and what a customer should expect in terms of surface marks, dents and previous repairs.

Portable building capability

Our portable offices, cabins, ablution blocks and crib rooms are built on the same steel frames that make containers durable and transportable, then fitted out for people rather than cargo. That means insulation, lining, windows, personnel doors, electrical fit-out and, where specified, plumbing for toilets, showers and kitchens.

These buildings suit construction sites, mine and camp accommodation, farms, schools, events and any location where a permanent structure is not practical. Because they travel on the same trucks as a container, they can be delivered, relocated and removed with the same equipment.

Customer-specific solutions

Not every requirement fits a stock product. We modify containers and portable buildings to suit a customer’s brief, including personnel doors, windows, electrical and lighting, insulation, air conditioning, shelving, lockboxes, flooring, internal lining, partitions, plumbing, toilets, showers and custom colours.

Custom work follows a clear process: a quote, design confirmation, a deposit as quoted, the build and then delivery. Lead times are confirmed on the quotation. Read more on our custom and modified container solutions page.

Australia-wide delivery

We deliver to every state and territory. Within our standard service area the delivery charge is AUD 745 per unit including GST. For sites outside that area, delivery requires confirmation and we provide a quote based on the location, access and equipment needed.

Delivery equipment includes tilt tray trucks, side loaders, Hiab and crane trucks, flatbeds and semi trailers. Where a customer has their own crane or forklift on site, we can deliver on a flatbed for the customer to unload. Our delivery page explains what each option needs from the site.

Reach into the wider Oceania region

Our growth has carried us beyond the Australian mainland into the wider Oceania region. For customers in that region, we apply the same approach: confirm the product, confirm the route and equipment, and quote the full cost before any payment is made. These deliveries always start with a quotation so that nothing is assumed.

Our approach

We prefer clear information over sales pressure. The details a customer needs to make a decision, including sizes, condition, price, GST, delivery cost and warranty, are published or stated in writing before an order is placed. If a site or a request needs more than a standard product, we say so and move to a quotation rather than guessing.

We also prefer a phone call to an assumption. When a delivery address raises a question about access, we ask before the truck is booked.

How customers buy

There are two ways to buy from AAD Logistics PTY.

Direct online purchase

Choose a product, configure the colour, add it to the cart, enter delivery details and check out. Payment is by bank transfer, or by credit or debit card through a secure payment link on your tax invoice. Once accounting confirms the payment, we prepare the unit and arrange delivery.

Quotation

Open the request-a-quote drawer, tell us what you need and where it is going. Sales prepares pricing, issues a formal quotation, and once accepted and paid we prepare and deliver the unit. This path suits custom work, multiple units, regional and remote sites and anything outside the standard service area.

Both paths are described step by step on the how buying works page.

Logistics coordination

Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days of confirmed payment. Delivery typically follows 4 to 7 business days after processing. Between those two points we match the unit to the right truck, confirm site access with the customer and book the delivery window. Regional and remote deliveries are planned with extra care around road conditions and transport availability.

Quality and transparency

  • Condition disclosure. New containers are described as new. Used containers are inspected and sold as Wind and Watertight, not Cargo Worthy, and we describe what that grade means.
  • GST-inclusive pricing. All prices are in AUD and include 10% GST. The delivery charge is stated per unit and includes GST.
  • Written warranty. New products carry an 18-month warranty. Used products carry a 6-month limited warranty. Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 18 days on eligible new, unmodified products, with the customer paying return transport. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

Where we are heading

We intend to keep expanding the portable building range, deepen our custom modification capability and refine the delivery process so that customers in every part of Australia and the Oceania region receive the same level of service. Investment in the online store, the quotation process and delivery guidance will continue as the business grows.
