Site access on the Sunshine Coast
The coastal strip and the hinterland are two different delivery jobs. Near the beach, canal lots and compact estates were laid out for cars: short driveways, houses close to the boundary and little side access. Up on the escarpment the roads are steep and winding, with tight bends, low branches and verges that turn soft after a wet week.
Three situations worth raising when you enquire
- Hinterland block above the range. The road in decides what we can deliver. A 20ft on a tilt tray is usually achievable; a 40ft on a side loader may not be. We will tell you plainly if a size is not deliverable to your road.
- Canal or beachside home with no side access. Placement is typically on the driveway or front of the block. Over-fence placement by Hiab or crane is quoted individually and depends on reach.
- Acreage with a long gravel drive. Usually fine when dry. Tell us about creek crossings, cattle grids, gates and any recent rain so we can schedule sensibly.

How delivery works
After your payment is confirmed, processing takes 1 to 3 business days. This covers allocation of the unit, colour configuration where you have chosen one, a pre-delivery check and booking the truck. Delivery typically follows 4 to 7 business days after processing, and we agree a delivery window with you before dispatch from the port.
Tilt trays carry most 20ft and smaller containers and need a straight reverse run behind the placement point. Side loaders carry 40ft units and need a clear strip beside the truck. Pricing and GST
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery within our standard service area is AUD 745 per unit including GST. For addresses that need confirmation, including some hinterland roads, we review the site and issue a written delivery quote before you pay. Payment is by bank transfer or card, and a tax invoice follows once processing starts.

Can you get a 40ft container up to the hinterland?
It depends on the road. Side loaders need width, firm ground and room beside the placement point. Send photos of the route and we will confirm or suggest a 20ft alternative.
Which container lasts longest near the beach?
A new unit with a factory paint finish. Keep it off the ground on blocks or sleepers so air moves under the floor, and rinse salt off periodically.
Do I need approval to place a container on my block?
Possibly, and it can differ for temporary and permanent placement. Check with your local council before ordering.
