Last updated 15 September 2026 · Applies to purchases from AAD Logistics PTY via aadlogisitcsau.com

Overview

AAD Logistics PTY offers a voluntary warranty on every container and portable building we sell. This warranty is our promise about the structural and functional condition of the unit for a fixed period after delivery. It is given in addition to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in this policy limits those guarantees.

The warranty is provided by AAD Logistics PTY, 4 Milton Cct, Port Macquarie NSW 2444, Australia. Contact sales@aadlogisitcsau.com or +61 2 8310 8053.

Warranty periods

Product type Voluntary warranty period Starts
New products, including New / One Trip containers and new portable buildings 18 months Delivery date
Used products, including Wind and Watertight and As-Is units 6 months, limited Delivery date

The delivery date is the date shown on the signed delivery docket. If the unit was collected by your own transport, the warranty starts on the collection date.

What the warranty covers

New products

For new units, the warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that affect the structure, weather resistance or function of the unit. This includes wall, roof and floor panels, corner castings, door hardware and seals, locking bars, and any fixtures we supplied and installed, such as windows, doors, vents, lining, electrical fit-out and plumbing on portable buildings.

Used products

For used units, the limited warranty covers the unit continuing to meet its disclosed condition grade. A unit sold as Wind and Watertight is warranted to remain wind and watertight, with doors that open, close and lock, for 6 months from delivery when used normally. Units sold As-Is are warranted only to match the specific description and photos in the listing at the time of delivery.

Our Product Condition Guide explains each grade and what is normal for it.

What the warranty does not cover

The voluntary warranty does not cover the following.

  • Misuse, overloading, stacking beyond rating, or use for a purpose the unit was not sold for.
  • Unauthorised modification, including cutting, welding, drilling, added openings, or fit-out by others, and any consequence of that work.
  • External damage after delivery, including impact, vandalism, fire, flood, storm, falling objects and damage by vehicles or machinery.
  • Fair wear and tear from normal use.
  • The disclosed used condition of a used unit, as described in the listing and the order confirmation.
  • Cosmetic items on used units, including dents, scratches, previous markings and shipping-line branding, paint variation, patches, surface rust and floor wear.
  • Corrosion caused by site conditions, including salt air, chemical exposure, contact with wet ground, poor drainage or standing water around the unit.
  • Damage caused by placing the unit on unsuitable ground, uneven supports or without adequate bearers, so that the frame twists and doors no longer align.
  • Consumable items such as padlocks, batteries and light globes.

Doors that become hard to open after delivery are most often caused by the unit sitting on uneven ground. Before lodging a claim, check that all four corners are level and supported.

How to make a claim

  1. Email sales@aadlogisitcsau.com with the subject line “Warranty claim” and your order number.
  2. Include clear photos of the issue, wide shots showing the whole unit and where it sits, and a short description of what has happened and when you noticed it.
  3. Tell us the delivery address and a contact person if the unit is at a different site from your billing address.
  4. We acknowledge the claim, usually within 2 business days, and may ask for more detail or a short video.
  5. We assess the claim from the evidence supplied. Where needed, we arrange an inspection on site or at our depot at our cost.
  6. We confirm the outcome in writing and, where the claim is accepted, the remedy and timing.

Please do not carry out repairs or modifications before we have assessed the claim, unless they are urgently needed to prevent further damage. If you must act urgently, photograph the issue first and keep any receipts.

Warranty remedies

Where a claim is accepted under the voluntary warranty, we will, at our discretion, repair the unit, replace it with an equivalent unit, or refund the price paid in whole or in part. We take into account the nature of the defect, the practicality of repair on site and the age and grade of the unit. Repairs may be carried out by our team or by a contractor we appoint. Replacement of a used unit is with a unit of the same grade, not a new unit.

Transport, inspection and labour for an accepted warranty remedy are at our cost. We do not charge you freight for a remedy we have accepted.

Australian Consumer Law guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The consumer guarantees are separate from this voluntary warranty. They apply for a period that is reasonable for the type and price of the goods, and they can apply after the voluntary warranty has ended. The exclusions listed above apply only to our voluntary warranty. They do not reduce your consumer guarantee rights.

Major failure

If the unit has a major failure, you may choose a refund or a replacement, or keep the unit and be compensated for the drop in value. A major failure includes a unit that does not match its description, is substantially unfit for purpose and cannot easily be fixed, or is unsafe.

Minor failure

If the failure is not major, we will repair the unit within a reasonable time. If we cannot, you may choose a refund or replacement. Where a consumer guarantee applies, we bear the reasonable cost of return, collection or inspection.

Transferring the warranty

The voluntary warranty applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery address. If you sell or move the unit within the warranty period, contact us before doing so. We may agree to continue the warranty for the new owner or location at our discretion, subject to the unit being moved and placed correctly.
