Shipping containers for Ipswich and the surrounding acreage
AAD Logistics PTY delivers to Ipswich and its rural fringe from our depot at the Port Macquarie. Ipswich buyers tend to have more room than their city counterparts, and they use it: a container becomes a farm shed, a machinery store, a workshop behind the house or a secure lock-up on a new build. We sell new containers in RAL colours from 6ft to 40ft high cube, used containers inspected and sold Wind & Watertight, container garages with sectional doors, and portable offices, cabins, ablution blocks and crib rooms.
The region’s growth corridors keep builders and civil contractors busy, and they order site offices, crib rooms and tool storage by the job. On the semi-rural side, owners of lifestyle blocks and working properties buy for hay, feed, fencing gear and quad bikes.
Popular choices around Ipswich
- Used Wind & Watertight containers. The most popular pick for farm and acreage storage, where a solid, dry and lockable box matters more than a fresh coat of paint.
- New shipping containers. Chosen for workshops, home storage that faces the street and any unit that will be modified. Double door and open side options make loading long or bulky items easier.
- Container garages. A 20ft unit with a sectional door for a ride-on mower, a quad, a small tractor or a project car.
- Portable offices and crib rooms for construction, civil and industrial sites across the region.

Site access in Ipswich
Ipswich addresses fall into three broad types. Established suburbs have older houses on modest blocks, sometimes with a narrow side path and mature trees. New estates have level blocks but short driveways and closely spaced homes. Acreage and semi-rural properties offer plenty of space for a truck, though the run from the road can involve gravel, gates, cattle grids and low branches that a car passes under without notice.
Three scenarios we ask about
- Acreage with a gravel driveway. Firm gravel is ideal. Freshly graded fill, soft ground after rain or a dip that holds water can bog a loaded truck. Tell us about the surface and any recent weather.
- Gates and grids on a rural block. A container is about 2.44 m wide and the truck wider again. Measure the clear width at the narrowest gate and let us know if a gate can be lifted off for the day.
- Suburban backyard behind a Queenslander. A tilt tray needs a straight run in. If the side access is tight or there are overhead branches, a Hiab placement or a front-of-block position may be the answer.
Whether a container or portable building needs approval on your land depends on zoning and use. Check with your local council before you order. Our site access guide sets out the clearances for each truck.
How delivery works
Payment is by bank transfer or card. Once it is confirmed, processing takes 1 to 3 business days and covers allocating your unit, colour configuration if chosen, a pre-delivery check and the transport booking. Delivery typically follows 4 to 7 business days after processing. We confirm a delivery window with you before the truck leaves the port.
Single 20ft and smaller units usually travel on a tilt tray, which slides the container off the back in line with the truck. 40ft units normally arrive on a side loader. Portable buildings are typically placed by Hiab. See the delivery page for the detail.
Pricing and GST
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery within our standard service area is AUD 745 per unit including GST. Where an address needs confirmation, we review the route and send a written delivery quote before you commit. You receive a tax invoice when processing starts.

Ipswich questions
Is a used container good enough for farm storage?
Yes. Every used unit is inspected and sold Wind & Watertight, so the doors seal and the floor is sound. Set it on blocks or sleepers so the floor stays dry.
Can the truck manage my gravel driveway?
Firm, dry gravel is fine. Soft fill, deep ruts or a waterlogged low point are the problems. Describe the surface and any creek crossings when you enquire.
Will a 40ft fit through my farm gate?
The truck, not the container, is the limit. Give us the clear width at the narrowest point and whether the gate can be removed temporarily.
Do I need council approval for a container on acreage?
It depends on your zoning and how the unit is used. Check with your local council before ordering.
What does delivery to Ipswich cost?
AUD 745 per unit including GST within the standard service area. Addresses that need confirmation receive a written quote.
