Containers delivered to the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is one of the busiest destinations on our delivery run. Units leave our depot at the Port Macquarie and head south to addresses from the northern growth corridor through to the border, and inland to the hinterland. AAD Logistics PTY sells rather than hires, so what arrives on the truck is yours to keep, modify or move.
Demand on the coast splits three ways. Builders and civil contractors want site offices, crib rooms and secure tool storage for an unbroken run of residential and infrastructure work. Households want storage during a renovation or a move. Event organisers, surf clubs and sporting associations want lockable units for equipment that would otherwise sit in a shed a long way from the beach. We stock new containers in RAL colours from 6ft to 40ft high cube, used containers sold Wind & Watertight, and a full range of portable buildings.
What Gold Coast customers usually order
- New shipping containers. A fresh unit in a chosen RAL colour sits more comfortably in a visible position on a residential street, and the paint system copes better with salt air than a weathered used box.
- Used Wind & Watertight containers. The economical choice for a builder’s compound or a back-of-block storage unit where appearance is secondary.
- Portable offices. Insulated cabins with air-conditioning provision for site management, sales suites and temporary workspace.
- Ablution blocks and crib rooms for multi-storey and civil crews who need amenities on site for the life of the job.

Site access on the Gold Coast
Coastal Gold Coast blocks were planned around cars, not container trucks. Canal-front lots often have a house that spans most of the frontage, a short driveway and no side access wide enough for a truck. Hillside suburbs behind the coast bring steep driveways and switchback streets. Head inland and the hinterland offers space, but often at the end of a narrow winding road with low branches and soft verges after rain.
Three scenarios to talk through before ordering
- Canal-front home with no side access. A container may have to be placed on the driveway or front of the block. If it must go over a fence or wall, a Hiab or crane delivery may be possible within reach limits, and we quote that individually.
- Steep hillside driveway. Tilt trays unload most safely on level ground. A steep gradient may mean a different placement point, a prepared level pad or a Hiab placement.
- Hinterland acreage. Space is rarely the problem; the road in is. Describe the narrowest point, any tight bends and overhead branches, and whether the surface is sealed.
Placement rules for containers and portable buildings vary between residential zones and property types, so check with your local council before you order. Our site access guide lists the clearances each truck needs.
How delivery works
Payment is by bank transfer or card. When it is confirmed, processing takes 1 to 3 business days: unit allocation, colour work if applicable, a pre-delivery check and the transport booking. Delivery typically takes 4 to 7 business days after that, and we confirm the window with you before the truck is dispatched from the port.
Most 20ft and smaller units travel on a tilt tray. 40ft containers usually arrive on a side loader, which needs a clear strip beside the placement point rather than a straight run behind it. Portable offices and cabins are typically set down by Hiab. The delivery page describes each method in detail.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery to addresses within our standard service area is AUD 745 per unit including GST. Gold Coast questions
My canal block has no side access. Can you still deliver?
Usually the container is placed on the driveway or front yard. Placement over a fence by Hiab or crane may be possible within reach limits and is quoted separately.
Which container copes best with salt air?
A new container with a factory paint system in your chosen RAL colour. Used units are sound and watertight but arrive with existing surface wear.
Can a 40ft container get to a hinterland property?
Sometimes. A side loader needs road width, firm ground and space beside the placement point. Send us photos of the road in and we will advise honestly.
Do I need approval to put a container on a residential block?
Possibly. Check with your local council before ordering; requirements differ by zone and duration.
What does delivery to the Gold Coast cost?
AUD 745 per unit including GST within the standard service area. Other addresses are confirmed by written quote.
